Here is my recipe for Wild Caught Salmon Guacamole:
- 1 can of wild caught salmon
- 1 hass avocado or 1/2 a large Florida avocado
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped finely
- 1/4 c of chopped red onion
- 1/2 a medium tomato
- 1 small jalapeño pepper, chopped
- lemon juice to your preference
- Fresh black pepper and salt to taste
- Optional: fresh cilantro
Depending on how hungry you are, this can be 1 or 2 meals. I ate this entire bowl over the course of 40 minutes while studying for school. Sometimes I am an endurance eater, what can I say?
** Remember to avoid farm-raised salmon fish/products. Those fish are trapped in pens and fed a very repulsive and unnatural diet of cornmeal and soy, which is why they need to be artificially dyed to get that common orange color. They are usually gray.
This being said, it is unfortunately more pricey to eat higher quality foods in our society. I am sure other brands of wild caught salmon that are cheaper work well, just be aware they might not be boneless & skinless. You can use tuna fish if it is more within your means. I recommend having the canned wild caught salmon on occasion though since it tastes so good and is very healthy! I buy a can once every 2 weeks.
Many more recipes are coming soon! Including no bake protein bars that will be great snacks for those who eat Paleo and include whey protein in their diet.
Stay Hungry & Happy,
